Building a Business While Raising a Family

Running a business while raising kids is not exactly calm or organized. It is more like organized chaos with a lot of coffee involved. In the early years the business existed inside the rhythms of family life. Orders were packed during nap time. Emails were answered after bedtime. The house doubled as a studio and inventory storage.

Some days the business felt like it was growing faster than I could keep up with. Other days it felt slow and uncertain. But what made it worth it was the flexibility. I could still be present for the things that mattered most. School events, soccer games, random afternoons that turned into family adventures.

Over time the business grew bigger and moved into a studio, but the original goal stayed the same. Build something meaningful without sacrificing the life happening around it.

And in many ways that has always been the real success story.
