Love Magic: A Science Experiment you can wear!

Love Magic: A Science Experiment you can wear!

I don't know about you, but we are running pretty short on ideas of fun and interesting things to do around here, which has led to a complete lack of creativity on my part. I had asked in the TWE Chat group over on facebook what people would like to see from my next blog post. The overwhelming response was a kid craft/project. I admittedly was at a loss as I was secretly hoping people wanting a DIY décor idea, as I had one in mind (that is coming!), turns out, the masses were on to something.

Feeling lost, I did what I always do when I can't think of a good idea, I asked my 4 year old his thoughts. Mostly for a giggle, but he actually quickly responded with "A science experiment!".  His Pre-K class has been doing weekly experiments and boy am I thankful, because it really got my creative juices flowing.

I reached way back into my dusty brain and remembered we made Borax crystals in elementary school and knew I wanted to figure out a way to make it a little more unique. So combining my sons love for all things jewelry and science, this is where we landed. (Thanks O, I owe you an ice cream!) This is a simple, but really pretty fun experiment your kiddos can watch happen in real time, plus it results in a wearable piece of science! How cools is that? So let's get to it.
