The Surprising Shirts Kids Refuse to Take Off
If you design kids clothing long enough you start hearing the same story from parents over and over again. It usually starts with something like this.
“My kid will not take that shirt off.”
Kids have a very specific way of choosing favorites. Sometimes it is the color. Sometimes it is the joke. Sometimes the shirt just happened to be worn on a really fun day and now it carries that memory with it.
I remember one parent telling me her son insisted on wearing his Ice Cream Taster shirt to school three days in a row. Another said her daughter treated a particular tee like a lucky charm.
Those stories are secretly the most rewarding part of running a kids clothing brand. They mean the shirt stopped being just clothing and became part of the child’s life.
There is something strangely beautiful about that. A simple cotton tee becomes part of childhood memories.
